About Elizabeth
As a child, I spent countless, enjoyable hours playing with fabrics and floorpans - fashioning couture dresses and elaborate homes. In the Interior Design Program, at university, I dived into color exploring how it affected energy and mood. After university, my second love, music, called and I founded the Champaign School of Music and South Loop School of Music to give students, of all ages, an opportunity to make music. In 2018, finally, I returned to my design roots as a Designer for Room and Board and am now thrilled to be founding Elizabeth Kennedy Interiors. |
Meet Elizabeth Kennedy Interiors
Its about the people we serve...
"Our interior designs are fundamentally about the people and families we serve. They set the stage for our clients' lives. Their daily activities, energy levels and aesthetic preferences are supported and simplified by the spaces we create." Many Similarities but many differences... While there are many similarities, between clients - we all want homes that are functional and pleasing to the senses - each client's needs and interpretation of what is pleasing differs. A professional couple with a minimalist aesthetic living in the city will have different needs and preferences then a young family leaving the city for suburban life with a rustic aesthetic. Each client has different concerns... "We are starting from square one and its overwhelming..." "I'm having a really hard time visualizing the layout of a bedroom, dining room, breakfast nook, playroom AND guest room..." "I have no time to shop and am worried that I might buy the wrong things..." "I want to update my style and I'm not sure where to start..." "Our kids are leaving the nest and its time for adult furniture" We care about our clients... We care about our clients and love creating multi-sensory spaces that support their lives and beautify their environment. We know that we've achieved our goal when a client returns from a long day and exclaims with delight upon entering, "Ahhh, I'm HOME!" |
